NEW RELEASE: indie outfit SUNBEAM release new single 'HEAVEN'S GLOW'

Whitby-based alternative pop outfit Sunbeam impressed at this year's The Gathering Sounds in Stockton and after the release of their EP 'Holding On' are back with new single 'Heaven's Glow', which is out on the 16th of December! The single was written about the passing of a friend, and is about the hope to one day be reunited with those we've lost.

About 'Heaven's Glow', the band said: "This song is slightly different from what you’ll be used to from us, it’s a song for everyone who’s lost someone. Over the past few years there’s been so many people taken too soon who were close to us, coming from such a small town you notice it even more. We want this song to be a celebration of all those people,'I raise a glass and say, we’ll be home soon’."

"Bellowing from a small town in Yorkshire, Sunbeam perform upbeat anthems with an electro-acoustic twist. You'll find yourself bouncing along from the first note and singing along by the end of each song. The energy generated from a 3 piece with minimal instruments is as impressive as it is unexpected. A must see for anyone wanting a good night!” - 360 Club

The energetic trio impressed Gig Slutz, their single 'Northern Town' got chosen as This Feeling's Track of the Day, they played north east all-dayer Gathering Sounds, supported Chris Helme of Seahorses and are ready for bigger and better things with the release of their new single 'Heaven's Glow' being the kick-starter of the next chapter for Sunbeam!

Sunbeam sold out many a show in their hometown of Whitby, performed in York, Stockton and Leeds and are slowly making their way into the rest of the country with more shows in the north east and Scotland on the calendar for 2023. Sunbeam is a band you don't want to sleep on!

Sunbeam consists of James Organ-Simpson (vocals), Nicky Baxter (guitar and kick drum) and Sean Stuart (lead guitar) and was formed in 2015 in Whitby when Jimmy and Nick started to meet up and write songs together. Their first recordings were done on an eight-track recorder bought from a local second-hand shop. Seven years of song writing and playing local gigs have shaped their spring EP-release 'Holding On' which was released in March 2022. Sean then joined the band on lead guitar bringing a new layer of depth to the live shows and the band's overall sound.
